26-6-07 Tuesday: Egg Tart or Dan Tart baked by me
Pastry:
125gm butter
1/2 icing sugar
1 egg
1 3/5 cup plain flour
1/2 tsp vanilla essencce
Egg custard:
1 1/6 (280gm) cup carnation milk or flesh milk
3 eggs
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
For pastry:
Beat butter and icing sugar. Add in egg and mix well.
Add in vanilla essence and then the flour and mix into a dough. Rest for 10mins. then press dough into the mould.
Bake the tart shell half-cooked about 10mins.175C
Egg custard:
Heat sugar and milk together. once sugar dissolves off heat.
Whisk egg and pour into the milk. add in vanilla essence
Sift the egg custard and then pour into the tart moulds.
bake at 175C till egg custard sets.
